Friday Thoughts
May 29, 2026
This is my last post here on Substack. Regular post, anyways. I may use it for advertising, but I doubt it. Mostly I’m leaving it as an archive of my writing for the past year. Some of it is okay. Some is not. A few I’m actually proud of. Eventually I hope to be able to figure a simple way to transfer and save all of it for me. We’ll see. For now, I’ll leave it as a road sign to come find me at Paintmonkey Studios.
I started on Patreon and moved over to this platform last year. But I was never comfortable with people paying for a blog. Whether I am good enough is neither here nor there. Maybe it’s because I am very old and the idea of people seeing this ethereal work of 1s and 0s and being charged for it is odd. I don’t have a problem if you get something physical…like a piece of art or my book. (Available HERE at Paintmonkey Studios. LOL!)
However, I’ve enjoyed doing this on a regular basis. It proves to me I can write and that I enjoy writing. I’ve also enjoyed letting people in on what I’m doing and let them see behind the scenes of an artist who bangs his head against the desk for ideas and works hard on perfecting his craft. Unlike “sloppers”, the fun new term for people who use ai! That’s right! You didn’t think I’d leave without one more shot at those dorks, did you? I will continue to rail against them, the technocrat oligarchy, and the political puppets that have been bought and controlled.
I have a beautiful website that was put together specifically for me and it is time to start using it fully! I will start posting again on Monday, June 1st and (hopefully) there will be no bumps in the road. But if there is…it’s all me. And I’m kind of excited about that. I hope you’ll all subscribe to me there. All it takes is signing up with an email and you’ll get emails with posts! I’ll never ask you for anything but I may tell you where you can come see me! I hope you do both! (Once more…you can CLICK HERE to subscribe absolutely free!)
To all of you who have followed along and read my work and liked my art…thank you. I see the statistics on every post and I thank and cherish each and every one of you.
To quote a famous philosopher…”Let’s go exploring!”
