A mixed bag this week but I’m pretty happy with most of them.
First up, I had an idea for a cartoon and I needed some old man heads for references. (More than just my own would be nice.) So I pulled out an old Foxfire book and found perfect models!
All of these were just from one book. An embarrassment of creative riches!
I also needed reference for a porch but that’s for later.
Next up…more bears. This one is probably my favorite drawing I did all week. I really liked the simplicity of it. Just a plain contour drawing that got across this big fat bear sitting in the stream.
Then another sauna bear that was KIND of fishing…but mostly just hanging out and floating.
And finally…I don’t want to give too much away from my upcoming book The Ghastly Crook Richies…but something VERY similar to one of my little rhymes happened this week. I did a little doodle of the news this week and just wait until September 8th (preorder HERE if you like!) and you can see the one where I predicted it! (Kind of.)
And that’s all for this week’s accountability. I hope you’ve enjoyed this little sketchbook tour and that you’ve had a good weekend.
Take care of each other!
