Sketch Sunday

I did a LOT of sketching this week. Unfortunately, I cannot share most of it because…I am starting on the sequel to my book The Ghastly Crook Richies! So, those are secret because most of them are the insane scribblings of a madman. But I did get some good practice in!

One of my favorite things about old dogs (aside from Tom T. Hall songs) is how good of models they are. Little Evie sleeps like a champ and usually right next to me.

My favorite is when she sleep-wags. Makes me think we did something right.

Next up is my “mean caricature” of the week. I kept seeing the ridiculous, out of touch nonsense this guy was spewing about his wonderful ai predictions. I think he was the one who went on a late night talk show and just…out LOUD…said “I would have no idea how to take care of a child without ai”. WHAT?!? Then why in god’s name do you have one? I don’t know how to take care of a freaking giant flightless seabird…so guess what? No Emperor penguins on the Paintmonkey Estate. Appropriately his name is Alt-Man.

Seriously…try to find a picture of him where he doesn’t look absolutely lost.

And lastly, spring is almost here and even though my favorite team may be done for the season (college baseball is weird. Steve will let me know.), so here’s a quick doodle of my mascot for Young Harris college getting a base hit. Swing batter batter, Artemas!
