A cartoon doodle and a few aminals this week. I had some terrible, no-good, awful thoughts about politicians but I needed to feel joy. So little cartoon critters it was.

First up, we finally watched the animated series Creature Commandos from DC and James Gunn. It was great but it is NOT for the kiddies. The Frankenstein monster wasn’t even the best character on the show but I was drawn (heh. Get it? Drawn?) to his design so when we were on the last couple of episodes I grabbed the book.

Dumb and violent. So, I guess Victor gets a…“mission accomplished”?

Next (and finally) are my toon animals. I just wanted to make some silly little guys and the owl is a little more serious than I intended but the fish and the Cape buffalo started getting where I wanted it.

Owls are just cool. Except for that Secret of NIMH owl. He’s terrifying.

DYK that google-fying “tropical fish” in no way narrows down your choices?

I just love these terrifying babies.

I hope you’ve had a great weekend. I hope social media hasn’t scarred you too much. And I hope you looked out for each other. The cracks are showing. Things are happening. It’s still gonna be painful for awhile, but love each other and keep going!
