Sketch Sunday
February 15, 2026
Another week, another bundle of behind the scenes nonsense from my sketchbook!
First up, apparently there was a sporting event. During said sporting event, there was a musical event. A lot of people had a very weird reaction to something that ended up being one of those culturally significant moments and was VERY cool. Anyways, racists decided they needed their own “separate but equal” show and since everything these people do is a grift…it was recorded in Atlanta 2 months ago? The Superbowl itself was in San Francisco and the Toilet Paper foundation or whatever they’re called is in Arizona, so sure…2000 miles away makes perfect sense. And since it was recorded they got unlimited takes, yeah? Ha! Nah, just bounce around half mumbling a “hit” from a quarter century ago. That’s a wrap! Also, there were some “country” acts. I have a whole thing about them later. Anyways, here’s an aging dumdum clinging to any sort of cultural relevancy like he’s scrabbling for a rope like Wile E Coyote as he plummets off a cliff.
Next is some nature…
This is one of my first sketches with wash pen.
Here’s a planning sketch for the One Panel VSS. I really liked how relaxed he looked in this one.
And finally, we watched Predator: Badlands. It was so good! A lot funnier and weirdly sweeter than you would expect from a Predator movie. So I draw-ed a yautja. Also, I learned that yautja is the name of the Predator species.
And that’s all for this week. Keep your foot on their necks. Watch out for each other. They are absolutely buckling under the pressure. ALL of them. Never stop calling your senators and representatives, no matter what side they claim.
